Watch the Education Portal video lectures Theodore Roosevelt & the Progressives: Definitions and Political Agendas and The Muckrakers of the Progressive Era: Definition and Influence. Find and highlight the information discussed in your Progressive Notes. Answer the following questions using the information in the video lectures and your notes in paragraph format.
- Describe the people who participated in the Progressive Movement and the goals they hoped to achieve.
- Describe Theodore Roosevelt's Three C's
- Describe the importance of the following muckrakers to the Progressive Movement. Ida Tarbell, Lincoln Steffens, and Upton Sinclair.
Watch the video American Experience: Triangle Fire and complete the accompanying note taking guide (linked below). Read the directions carefully on the note guide.
February 13, 2014:
GR30 due and RQ30 taken. Finish the Triangle Fire video and answer the following questions in paragraph format. You may use your movie notes and class notes to answer the question.
- How did the experience of the women who worked at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory embody the social, political, and economic goals of the Progressive Movement?
Discussion regarding the question posed above. Remainder of the hour was given for test corrections.
