Urbanization and Immigration
December 14, 2012 - Read the four articles linked below (How the Other Half Lived by Jacob Riis, The Jungle by Upton Sinclair, Jane Addams Helping the Poor - adn the Well-to-Do, Twenty Years at Hull-House by Jane Addams, and William Marcy "Boss" Tweed Corrupt Boss of the Politcal Machine). While reading the articles, take notes (minimum of 5 per article) on the Social Reform noteguide linked below and attach to p. 116 of your ISN. On p. 115 write a 1 page letter to someone in your home country about what life was like and what you could expect as an immigrant living in large urban cities in America.
