Title: The Constitution
TSW: Identify and describe the structure of the U.S. government under the Constitution of the United States
Essential Question: What is the function of each of the branches of government? How does the system of checks and balances ensure that one branch of government does not become too powerful?
Title: Launching the New Nation

Essential Question: In what ways did George Washington shape the United States as its first president?
Title: Ratification of the Constitution

- Create a 5 W's chart detailing the Constitutional Convention on p.45 of your ISN and answer the Essential Question in a 4-5 sentence paragraph.
